Glass and Semiconductor Processing
Flexible protection around hot equipment
The Morlion fiber brochure identifies roller sleeves for tempered-glass lines and insulating sealing rings for crystal-growth furnaces. Woven and braided formats provide options for parts that cannot be insulated conveniently with rigid shapes.
Purity and cleanliness matter
High-purity alumina powder, ceramic slurries and quartz feedstocks can support ceramic substrates, coatings and process components. A high bulk purity value alone does not establish semiconductor-process compatibility. Particle release, trace impurities and cleaning requirements need to be specified for the process.

Define the interface
- Contact temperature, atmosphere and cycling profile.
- Surface finish, friction and allowed marking on glass or components.
- Electrical isolation, contamination and outgassing limits.
- Required geometry, tolerances and inspection records.
Photovoltaic furnace insulation
Single-crystal growth furnaces and diffusion furnaces are further application areas for alumina fiber insulation. Rongrong identifies needled blankets for these processes. Select the insulation around the furnace atmosphere, temperature cycle and contamination limits; confirm cleanliness and dimensional stability for the particular equipment.
